  Women as One is an independent 501c3 nonprofit organization. The premise is that it

is a catalyst organization for addressing existing gender gaps in medicine, with a

starting focus in cardiology. The organization was founded in 2019 by Dr. Roxana Mehran

and Dr. Marie-Claude Morice, two internationally recognized women in interventional

cardiovascular care and research. The mission of Women as One is to promote talent in

medicine by providing unique professional opportunities to women physicians. These opportunities range from clinical education to research funding to mentorship and network building. We also match qualified women with opportunities across external organizations. We maintain a Talent Directory database, which now includes comprehensive qualification data on over 2,400 women cardiologists across 15 subspecialties and 100 countries world-wide.

EMERGING LEADERS WELCOME

APC is opening its membership to emerging leaders of member organizations. As a leader in your organization, you can help strengthen and foster the academic cardiology field by inviting up to two of your colleagues to join us at the meeting. Emerging leaders are defined as:

• Early-Career: Less than five years experience

• Mid-Career: 5-9 years experience.
